State Tested Nurse Aide Program (STNA)

Our 75-hour, non-credit course introduces students to the principles and procedures of basic patient care. The course is regulated by the Ohio Department of Health and 100% attendance is required. The students will be given both classroom and clinical experience. An average of 80% or higher is required on quizzes and the final exam to complete the classroom section of the course and proceed to the clinical rotation.

Tuition: $1,200 - includes uniform (scrubs and shoes), textbook, TB 1 test fee and state test fee. Tuition must be paid in full before beginning the class.

Prerequisites: Each individual must complete a criminal background check prior to enrolling in the STNA course.  To begin, please complete the STNA Interest Form and we will contact you with pertinent information and next steps to completing your fingerprints and criminal background check. You will also be required to pass a one-step TB test which will be scheduled on the first day of class to be completed before the clinical experience at the end of the class. 

Dates/Times:  This course lasts approximately 4 weeks and meets Monday, Wednesday, Thursday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The maximum number of students per class is 10. Once the interest form is completed, the BCI and fingerprinting is scheduled and the BCI report is received, you will be contacted to enroll in the next available class. Class dates are subject to change.

Completion: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be eligible to sit for the Ohio nurse aide exam. After passing both the written and skills portion of the state exam, students will meet employment qualifications required by many long-term care, home health care, clinic and hospital facilities. This class also fulfills the pre-requisite requirement needed for many nursing programs.
