Phlebotomy
Our 45.5‐hour, non-credit course will introduce you to basic phlebotomy principles and procedures. You will learn about safety and infection control, medical terminology, basic anatomy and physiology and the circulatory system, venipuncture-procedures, complications and equipment, special blood collection and quality assessment. Lab work will include blood draws performed on other class members under the direct supervision of the instructor.
Tuition: $750 (includes textbook)
Prerequisites:
- High School Diploma / GED is required.
- Each individual must complete the Phlebotomy Interest Form. We will contact you with additional information and next steps.
Dates/Times: The course is 13-weeks in length and meets every Wednesday evening, 5 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Completion: After completing the classroom and lab practice components, you will receive a certificate of completion and will be qualified to obtain entry-level employment as a phlebotomist in many clinical areas.
