Sept. 20 Update
Clark State College will reopen all campus buildings on Monday, Sept. 23.
The decision to return to campus comes after extensive efforts by campus security and national, state, and local law enforcement to ensure the safety of our students, staff, and faculty.
As we return, college administration, security teams, and law enforcement continue to closely monitor campuses to ensure a smooth transition. Our main campus buildings and grounds have been cleared by law enforcement throughout the week, and will be again before reopening on Monday, as well as throughout next week. Law enforcement officials have also ensured we are compliant with the State of Ohio’s safety mandates and crisis response preparations.
Enhanced safety measures include: limited entry to all buildings and increased security measures to complement already strong protocols, such as the presence of uniformed law enforcement on the Leffel Lane and downtown campuses and additional video surveillance equipment to supplement our existing robust security camera system.
We are committed to maintaining a safe and supportive campus environment for all. Schools should be one of the safest places in our community for children and staff, and by joining together, we can keep them that way.
We look forward to welcoming everyone back to campus on Monday and continuing our important work together. With each other’s support, we can move forward, continuing our mission to provide high-quality educational programs and services to all students while also ensuring the safety and security of our students, colleagues, and campuses.
