Clark State Community College will host the Ohio Arts Presenters Network (OAPN) Annual Conference October 20 to 22, 2014, at its Performing Arts Center. The OAPN Annual Showcase Conference is a three-day event that has 36 showcases, an exhibit hall, professional development workshops and networking opportunities. Showcases will be held at the Kuss Auditorium. Admission is free and open to the public.
The 27th annual conference also serves as a marketplace for arts and entertainment booking and attracts industry professionals from Ohio, Indiana and Michigan. Attendees include presenters, performing artists, agents, service organizations and consultants.
The 2014 OAPN juried showcase kicks off Monday, October 20, 2014, with the Mainstage Showcase at 7:30 p.m. and features illusionist Mike Super from America’s Got Talent as well as Adelee & Gentry, a sister duo from West Alexandria.
The Young Artist Showcase is Tuesday, October 21, 2014, at 9:30 a.m. and is sure to entertain kids of all ages. ArtsPower will present “The Monster Who Ate My Peas” and children’s musician Copper Tom are just two of the acts that will take stage. There will also be a special appearance by Mallory Lewis and Lamb Chop. Tuesday night features a Mainstage Showcase at 7 p.m. with America’s Got Talent finalist Charles Peachock, composer Scott Kirby and The Floorwalkers out of Cleveland.
The conference concludes with the last Mainstage Showcase on Wednesday, October 22, 2014, at 10 a.m. Artists include Kamikaze FireFlies from America’s Got Talent, Eisenhower Dance and Mojoflo.
