Project Jericho constructed programming this spring inspired by the Springfield Museum of Art’s current exhibit entitled, Shelter: Crafting a Safe Home. In response to the exhibit, Project Jericho’s participants created drypoint etching prints, hand crafted books and poetry with the desire to create community awareness around the critical need for shelter.
On Thursday, April 25, 2019, from 5-6:30 p.m., the community is invited to attend a free reception at the Springfield Museum of Art and celebrate the Shelter inspired art made by Project Jericho youth and families. In addition to a gallery full of framed prints, women will be reading poetry written during Project Zonta, and Project Jericho’s choir, Jericho Voices, will be singing songs that reflect the meaning of home.
Project Jericho is a program of Clark State Community College supported through funding from the Clark County Department of Job and Family Services, The Ohio Arts Council, The Turner Foundation, Clark County Juvenile Court and private contributions.
