Clark State Will Recognize Outstanding Students at Annual Event

April 11, 2016

Clark State Community College will hold Student Recognition Night at 6 p.m., Wednesday, April 13 at the Hollenbeck Bayley Creative Arts and Conference Center, 275 South Limestone Street in downtown Springfield.

Nina Wiley, dean of enrollment services at Clark State, said Student Recognition Night is an annual event recognizing and celebrating outstanding students. This year more than 50 students will be honored in various areas including Student Life (Phi Theta Kappa, Student Ambassadors, Student Senate, Creative Writer’s Club, Physical Therapist Assistant Club), Perseverance, Work Study, Campus Involvement and Academic Programs.

“We are proud to recognize our students who have made extraordinary contributions to our Clark State community inside and outside of the classroom,” said Wiley. “Our students experience success in several ways, and their determination and commitment is outstanding!”

Faculty, staff and student organization advisors nominated outstanding students in their programs.

Clark State alumnus Joseph Coons will be the keynote speaker for the event. Each recipient will receive a medal to wear at graduation.
