Clark State to Induct 27 Students into Epsilon Pi Tau Honor Society

April 3, 2019

Clark State Community College will hold an induction ceremony for Epsilon Pi Tau at 6 p.m., Wednesday, April 3 at the Hollenbeck Bayley Creative Arts and Conference Center. Clark State’s Epsilon Pi Tau chapter, Delta Iota, will welcome the class of 2019 which includes 27 inductees.

“Epsilon Pi Tau is the leading international honor society for technology,” said Teresa Campbell, associate professor of Management and Marketing in the Business & Applied Technologies Division. “It recognizes academic excellence of students in fields devoted to the study of technology and the preparation of practitioners for the technology professions.”

Epsilon Pi Tau was founded at The Ohio State University in 1929 and is the premier academic and professional honors group for technology programs in higher education, workforce development programs and professionals in practice. Epsilon Pi Tau is a certified member of the Association of College Honor societies.

Epsilon Pi Tau's guiding philosophy of career-long association and service to members and technology programs provides a basis for cogent response. Through a member network and Epsilon Pi Tau sponsored events, the organization is in contact with international and domestic leaders in the technology professions.

Students in academic programs who meet the institutional and program eligibility standards may be considered for membership. Students enrolled in a program of studies in technology may be initiated into Epsilon Pi Tau upon completion of 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours of credit in prescribed courses with a grade point average of 3.25 or higher. Students who achieve that grade point average at the end of subsequent terms, even upon graduation, may be initiated.
