Clark State to Host Interactive College to Career Days for High School Students

February 22, 2018

Clark State Community College will host two College to Career Days for local high school juniors and seniors, along with school guidance counselors.

“The events are aimed at high school students who are unclear about what is next for them after high school,” said Travis Binkley, director of student services at the Clark State Beavercreek campus. “We hope to connect them to associate degree programs that they may have not considered previously.”

“Our goal is to change how they view college,” he said. “Faculty of various programs will explore the content of the majors with students and provide them realistic career opportunities that exist in the market in which they live.”

Students will go through interactive sessions engaging them in not only a Clark State program, but also a career path.

Binkley said more than 150 students are planning to attend the session on the Springfield campus on Leffel Lane this Friday, February 23 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. A second session will be held at the Beavercreek campus on March 2, also from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Registration for the College to Career Day sessions is free and will remain open until full. To register for the event contact Travis Binkley at binkleyt@clarkstate.edu.
