Clark State Student-Athletes Receive OCCAC Academic Honors

February 23, 2021

The Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) announced that more than 200 student-athletes have achieved OCCAC Academic All-Conference laurels including 10 Clark State College students.

These students maintained a 3.30 GPA or higher while completing at least nine credit hours required to earn Academic All-Conference honors the fall semester of 2020. The minimum credit hour threshold (traditionally 12 hours) was amended to provide relief for those negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Justin McCulla, director of athletic and student life at Clark State, offered his congratulations to the student-athletes who made the All-Academic OCCAC Team for Fall 2020.

“I am so thrilled that we have such a committed group of student-athletes, who in these difficult times continue to rise to the academic challenges and continue to overcome them,” he said. “These student-athletes are the true definition of being an Eagle and knows that hard work pays off.”

McCulla said while contributing on the field or court and taking classes, these student-athletes performed admirably academically.
