Clark State’s Dr. Tiffany Hunter Named to United Way Board of Trustees

March 22, 2021

Dr. Tiffany Hunter, provost and vice president of academic affairs at Clark State College, has been appointed to the United Way of Clark, Champaign & Madison Counties Board of Trustees. Hunter will act in the role of director and serve through December of 2024.

“As a board member I hope to accomplish the mission, vision, and values of United Way by staying aware of the needs of the communities we serve as well as being a voice to those individuals who feel that they do not have a voice as they try to have their needs met,” said Hunter.

Hunter said this role is important to her and to Clark State because the well-being and support needed for residents in the community is a top priority.

“It brings me great joy to know that I can play an even more vital role in ensuring that organizations have what they need to better serve our residents, who are our students,” she said. “I am honored to be serving on the United Way of Clark, Champaign, and Madison Counties board and I look forward to helping the organization meet the needs of our community.”

For more than 100 years, the United Way of Clark, Champaign & Madison Counties has provided collaboration, coordination and capacity both financial and human to the communities it serves. Kerry Lee Pedraza, Executive Director of United Way of Clark, Champaign & Madison Counties, said this has been possible because of the commitment and leadership of the Board.

“United Way of Clark, Champaign & Madison Counties is very honored to have Dr. Hunter as a member of its Board of Directors. As the Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs at Clark State College, Dr. Hunter brings a unique perspective on the necessity of communities wrapping around those in need,” said Pedraza. “Dr. Hunter’s extensive background in education, human services and leadership will certainly be an asset to our organization. In addition to her role as a Director on the Board, Dr. Hunter is also a member of United Way’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee.”
