Clark State Performing Arts Center to Present Summer Concert Series, HBC to Reopen

May 17, 2021

The Clark State Performing Arts Center (PAC) and the Hollenbeck Bayley Creative Arts and Conference Center (HBC) are preparing to welcome the community back for events and performances this summer.

“The opening of the HBC signals the start of life getting back to a new sense of normal,” said Adele Adkins, executive director of the Clark State Performing Arts Center. “As with everything Clark State College does, the health and safety of everyone will be at the forefront of each event.”

The HBC will officially reopen on June 1 and is now taking reservations for events.

The Clark State Performing Arts Center (PAC) will present the Close to Home Community Series this summer featuring all local performers. Leadfoot will kick off the series at 6 p.m., Friday, June 11.

“Last summer’s ‘Close to Home’ series exceeded our expectations, so we brought it back for this summer,” said Adkins. “We expanded the name of the series to ‘Close to Home Community Series’ because this is a series for the community with all the performers from the community. This series expands all the wonderful summer offerings and will not operate during the Summer Arts Festival as we all enjoy going to the park for the festival too.”

The Close to Home Community Series events are free of charge will be held in the outdoor courtyard between the PAC and HBC, 300 South Fountain Avenue. Food trucks will be on site and a cash bar will be available.

The summer performance schedule includes:
