Clark State Inducts New Members of Epsilon Pi Tau

April 24, 2020

The Clark State Community College chapter of Epsilon Pi Tau (EPT) welcomed 26 new members for the class of 2020.

The College’s Epsilon Pi Tau chapter - Delta Iota - was scheduled to hold an official induction ceremony for the new members this month, but the event has been canceled due to the COVID-19 outbreak and Ohio Governor Mike DeWine’s directive for social distancing.

“Epsilon Pi Tau is the leading international honor society for technology. I am extremely proud of the academic accomplishments of this wonderful group of students,” said Dr. Tiffany Hunter, vice president of academic affairs at Clark State. “They have demonstrated excellence in their course work, and we are grateful that they have chosen Clark State to complete their educational studies.”

Epsilon Pi Tau was founded at The Ohio State University in 1929 and is the premier academic and professional honors group for technology programs in higher education, workforce development programs and professionals in practice. Epsilon Pi Tau is a certified member of the Association of College Honor societies.

Epsilon Pi Tau's guiding philosophy of career-long association and service to members and technology programs provides a basis for cogent response. Through a member network and Epsilon Pi Tau sponsored events, the organization is in contact with international and domestic leaders in the technology professions.

Students in academic programs who meet the institutional and program eligibility standards may be considered for membership. Students enrolled in a program of study in technology may be initiated into Epsilon Pi Tau upon completion of 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours of credit in prescribed courses with a grade point average of 3.25 or higher. Students who achieve that grade point average at the end of subsequent terms, even upon graduation, may be initiated.
