Clark State Holds Pinning Ceremonies for Practical and Registered Nursing Programs

December 10, 2014

Clark State Community College will hold its fall nursing pinning ceremonies this week at the Clark State Performing Arts Center’s Kuss Auditorium, 300 South Limestone Street, Springfield.

Both pinning ceremonies symbolize a rite of passage into the nursing profession, as well as the completion of Clark State’s Practical Nursing Certificate and the Clark State Community College - Springfield Regional School of Nursing Registered Nursing (RN) programs.

The Practical Nursing Pinning Ceremony is Thursday, December 11, 2014, from 7 to 9 p.m. Thirty-eight students will be recognized at the event for having completed the College’s 12-month Practical Nursing Certificate.

The certificate program is approved by the Ohio Board of Nursing and the Ohio Board of Regents. This program is offered at the College's Springfield campus and at the Clark State campus at the Ohio Hi-Point Career Center location in Bellefontaine.

The RN Pinning Ceremony is Friday, December 12, 2014, from 7 to 9 p.m. and will honor 71 students who will receive their Associate of Applied Science Degree.

Clark State Community College - Springfield Regional School of Nursing RN program is endorsed by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing, Inc. and is approved by the Ohio Board of Nursing. Graduates are prepared to function in beginning staff-level registered nurse positions in hospitals, extended care facilities, clinics and comparable health care facilities as members of a health care team.
