Clark State College is now accepting nominations for the 2021 Distinguished Alumnus Award and the Clark State Emerging Leader Award. Both awardees will be recognized at the Clark State College Presidential Awards Banquet on September 23rd.
“Clark State College is honored to recognize our outstanding alumni,” said Toni Overholser, director of the Clark State Foundation. “Our alumni make significant contributions to their career fields and the community.”
Overholser said 85-percent of Clark State graduates continue to reside in the community following graduation.
“The annual Presidential Awards Banquet not only recognizes their success, it raises scholarship funds for current and future students,” she said. “I encourage our community members and our alumni to nominate a worthy alumnus today. Self-nominations are also welcomed.”
The Presidential Awards banquet will be held September 23rd at the Hollenbeck Bayley Creative Arts and Conference Center in Springfield.
The Clark State Foundation awards approximately $250,000 in scholarship each year. Scholarships are available for fall, spring, and summer semesters.
The deadline for nominations is July 12, 2021.
Distinguished Alumnus Award
Recipients of the Distinguished Alumnus Award have reached distinction in their professional achievements and have made significant contribution to the College and community. The award is a reflection on Clark State College and provides inspiration and encouragement to our current students.
