Scholarship opportunities for the Clark State College summer and fall 2025 semesters are now available for students to explore and prepare applications. With more than $500,000 in scholarships available, both incoming and returning students have the opportunity to apply for financial assistance based on need, academic achievement or program of study. Scholarship amounts range from $500 to $5,000 and do not need to be repaid.

Clark State has partnered with The Rosie Project, a non-profit dedicated to helping military spouses overcome career barriers, to create a program that provides military spouses in the region with skills and certifications needed to thrive in the field of information technology. The six-month academic program is open to military spouses of Active-Duty, Reserve, National Guard and Veterans, at no cost to spouses, at the Clark State Springfield campus.

The Clark State College Diagnostic Medical Sonography program is seeking volunteers to participate in ultrasound exams to help students gain experience using industry equipment. Participants will have the opportunity to observe a 2D ultrasound exam and receive thermal prints of their scan.

The Clark State College Board of Trustees unanimously accepted the appointment of Sharon Evans of Springfield as Board chairperson during their Jan. 21 reorganization meeting. Evans will replace David Ball of Fairborn who has served as Board member since 2015 and chairperson since 2023. Ball will continue his term as a Board member through 2026.

As part of Clark State College’s work to provide robust academic programming that meets workforce needs, the Ohio Department of Higher Education recently approved Clark State’s application to offer students a bachelor of science in nursing program. With ODHE approval in hand, Clark State is now working toward obtaining final program approval from the Higher Learning Commission, with the hopes of launching a nursing bachelor’s degree option, also known as a BSN completion program, in the fall of 2025.
