Placement Assessment
If you are a new Clark State student, you may be required to take the ACCUPLACER placement assessment. The ACCUPLACER placement assessment will evaluate your skill levels in reading and mathematics based on your major at Clark State. The initial ACCUPLACER placement assessment is free. A waiting period of 7, 30 or 120 days will be required between placement assessment attempts. Most often, placement assessment scores will remain valid for two years.
If you have ACT, SAT scores within the past two years or transcripts from high school (two years) or another college, you may be excused from parts of the placement assessment. Please contact an Academic Advisor to learn more about your options. Click on the “Schedule an Advising Appointment” link below the Academic Advisor’s name who corresponds with your location/major.
